Victorian Sterling Pavé Seed Pearl & Turquoise Pony Pin

SKU: PMP506

$295

A wonderful and decorative pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This sterling silver piece depicts a charming pony, whose body is adorned with a beautiful pavé seed pearl surface. A row of delicate turquoise stones lines its neck, and two ruby cabochons depict each of the horse's eyes. The combination of colors is lovely, and the silver setting has a brushed surface that gives soft texture to the design. On the back of the horse is a bar pin and c-catch clasp, perfect for fastening the pin to a favorite garment. A wonderful antique piece, it would be perfect for any equestrian enthusiast's collection!

Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 1/2" long, 1 1/8" tall, and 3/16" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and the pin clasp fastens securely. All of the seed pearls, turquoise stones, and ruby cabochons are intact and in good condition. There is a natural patina that gives a darkened antique appearance to the surface of the piece, which is normal for Victorian era jewelry and adds depth to the design.
