WALTER LAMPL Retro 14kt Two-Tone Rose + Yellow Gold Link Bracelet
Walter Lampl was an ambitious New York City jeweler whose rags-to-riches story marked the beginnings of a successful career. At the age of 26, he opened a wholesale jewelry business in 1921, and eventually commissioned several female designers whose work he oversaw and and approved from page to product. His quality jewelry included colorful gemstone designs, unique charms, and popular pins. Multiple designs originated as gifts for his beloved wife Sylvia (whom he called "Toots"), later evolving into designs available to the rest of his clientele. His enthusiasm, charismatic personality, and humorous motto "Creators of the Unusual, As Usual" made him a much beloved man whose legacy extended far beyond the end of his life. Authentic vintage Walter Lampl pieces are still fashionable today and have become quite collectible!
An absolutely fabulous two-tone Retro bracelet from jewelry designer Walter Lampl! This stylish 14kt gold piece (ca1940s) has a bold, chunky design comprised of five large rose gold rings, which alternate with yellow gold double loop connectors. The hinged link design makes the bracelet both flexible and comfortable to wear. One of the rose gold rings doubles as a large spring ring, incorporating the clasp seamlessly into the design. The contrast between the bright yellow and soft rose gold tones is very striking! Stamped on the back of one of the links is "14K" along with a small hallmark. A large and very important piece, it would compliment any ensemble and is ideal for daily wear. A true must-have for the fashion conscious woman!
Measurements: The bracelet measures 8" long. Each rose gold ring has a 1 1/8" diameter. The yellow gold connectors measure approximately 1 1/4" long, 3/8" wide, and 5/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow and rose gold links. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
