Art Deco 14kt French Cut Sapphire Cufflinks
A very handsome pair of sapphire cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each double-sided cufflink is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a simple yet attractive design. Each cufflink face has a 3-dimensional "step up" design with a row of French Cut sapphire stones at the center. The sapphires are channel set and display a beautiful blue color that looks wonderful against the yellow gold. The opposite cufflink face has the same step up design crafted in yellow gold, with the initials "G.H.C." engraved in the center. However, the initials could be polished away or re-engraved if desired. On the back of each cufflink and connecting bar is the stamp "14K". A classic pair of gold cufflinks, they would look wonderful worn by a distinguished gentleman!
Measurements: Each cufflink face measures approximately 5/8" long, a 1/2" wide, and 1/8” thick. The space in between each cufflink measures approximately 5/8". The overall pennyweight of the cufflinks is 7.5 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the sapphires are all intact. The connecting bar link is secure.
