Art Deco 14kt Natural Coral Hand Carved Flower Cufflinks
An absolutely wonderful pair of coral cufflinks from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Crafted in silver, these double-sided cufflinks are colorful and beautifully detailed. Although double sided and crafted in natural coral, each the front and back differ in detail. The prominent, front face of each is oval and cabochon in shape and has a mostly smooth surface. Peaking from the corner is a fantastic hand carved image of a multi-petal blooming flower with a textured leaf behind it. The floral motif peaks from behind what resembles a pocket and has a very realistic appearance. The smaller, back side of each cufflink is represented by a single elongated coral stone which has a smoothly polished surface all around. The color of the natural coral is wonderful and small areas of white show through and were brilliantly incorporated into the floral design as the center of the flowers. Connecting each link together is a silver chain link. A classic and artistic pair of cufflinks, they would look wonderful worn by a man or woman!
Measurements: Each oval cufflink face measure 7/8" long and 1/2" wide. The elongated cufflink back measures 7/8" long and 1/2" at the widest point. The space between each cufflink measures 5/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage the carved coral faces, which are securely attached and free of any apparent chips or surface scratches. The cufflink chain link connectors are secure.
