Art Deco 18kt Moonstone, Ruby + Diamond Cufflinks
An exquisite pair of moonstone and ruby cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each double sided cufflink is crafted in 18kt white gold and oval in shape. The white gold backs hold beautiful cabochon moonstones which display an alluring translucence with vivid blue flashes. A crisscross design of calibrated rubies with a diamond in the center featuring millgrain detail accent the moonstones. A spring-opening gold bar link connects both sides of the moonstones. Several French hallmarks including an eagle and what appears to be the French weevil are shown on the bar as well as the open back moonstone. A classic pair of cufflinks, they have a wonderful design and would look fabulous worn by a man or woman!
Measurements: Each oval face measures approximately 1/2" tall, is 3/8" wide and approximately 1/4” thick. When fully extended, the space between each cufflink measures 7/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting, the diamonds and rubies are intact. There is a small chip in the top corner of one of the open backed moonstones, which is hardly noticeable when worn; the remaining three moonstones are in excellent condition.
