Late Art Deco 14kt White Gold Diamond Watch Ring

SKU: 42500

$1,595
A gorgeous watch ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This 14kt white gold piece features a miniature self-winding watch at the center of a lovely etched border. The watch face is oval in shape and displays a creamy white background with iridescent colored hands and numerals. A delicate etched border carries around the face, and extends onto a classic Art Deco design at either end of the centerpiece. Two sets of gorgeous accent diamonds embellish both the top and bottom, including Baguette Cut and old European Cut stones. The diamonds catch the light perfectly with every turn, and fine milgrained details throughout the piece add a wonderful feminine touch. A small winder rests on the side of the centerpiece, which is featured on a smoothly polished band featuring beautifully carved shoulders. Stamped on the back of the watch face is a "14K SOLID GOLD" purity mark and "AVON WATCH CASE CO" maker's mark; additionally, the shank of the band is stamped "14K." An unusual and creative timepiece, this gorgeous ring would make a unique addition to any collection!

Measurement: The ring has a finger size 4.5, but could be resized slightly if desired. The watch centerpiece measures approximately 1 1/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests slightly less 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the watch ring is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the white gold setting and watch face and crystal are intact and free of damage. The diamonds are intact and securely set. Antique watches in good working condition generally need to be oiled and cleaned from time to time to preserve their function; currently, the piece is in full working condition. Although the watch is functional, the self-winding design means that it must be wound on a regular basis to keep time.
