A lovely platinum and diamond Hamilton watch from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This watch has a rounded diamond-shaped watch face, which has a wonderful and feminine design that is encrusted with sparkling diamonds. The clock belly has a white face with gold dashes in place of numbers and at the top center of the watch face is the maker name “HAMILTON”. The band of the watch is made of platinum links which are encrusted with diamonds. Rectangular-shaped links alternate with rhombus-shaped links and come together at a hidden clasp at the center of the band. The clasp has a safety chain for added security. The underside of the watch face is stamped “900”, “PLAT.”, “100IRID” and the clasp is stamped "10%IRID". The watch would fit well on a small to average sized wrist. It's a very special piece that looks simply marvelous on. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: This diamond-shaped watch face measures approximately 1 1/8" tall, slightly less than 3/4" wide and has a depth of a little less than 1/4". The entire length of the watch measures 6.75".
Condition: The overall condition of the watch is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and all of the diamonds are intact. Watches of this era should be cleaned and oiled periodically and at this time, the watch is in fine working order and keeping good time.
