Art Deco Large 14kt Hand Carved Jade + Diamond Pendant
A fabulous diamond and jade pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted with 14kt white gold, the pendant, with is particularly large in size, is comprised of a luscious jade plaque with a hand-carved design, beautifully reflecting its Chinese origin. The elongated rectangular shape displays a wonderful floral and fruit design on both the front and back, and features soft cutouts throughout. The jade exhibits a soft milky color with splashes of vibrant green. A 14kt white gold surmount is riveted in the the top of the plaque, also acting as an ornate bail. The sparkling topper has an open wirework design of ornate flourishes which are accented by an array of old Mine and European Cut diamonds. A hidden bail can be found on the back and the piece would look wonderful worn on a simple white gold chain. A perfect everyday pendant for the jade collector, it would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2 1/4" long, measures 1 1/4" wide, and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, diamonds, or to the carved jade plaque. The bail is secure and in good condition.
