Art Deco Platinum & Diamond Filigree Engagement Ring .72ct
A fantastic Art Deco (ca1920) era platinum and diamond ring! This beautiful ring has an old European Cut diamond at the center of a stunning filigree mounting. The diamond is prong set in a milgrained, octagonal box setting and has an approximate weight of. 72ct. The stone has H color and SI2 clarity. Prong set in the stunning mounting are an additional 18 Single Cut diamonds. The diamonds have a total approximate weight of .60ctw, color in the H-I range, and clarity in the VS range. The mounting is simply wonderful with fine wirework, cutouts, and a beautiful etched design that carries down the shoulders of the band. The underside of the shank is stamped “PLATINUM”. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA graduate Gemologist in January 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,200.00. It would make a stunning engagement ring or could be a beautiful everyday piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75 but could easily be resized. When worn, the ring sits about 1/4" atop your finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and all of the stones are intact.
