An absolutely fabulous German silver bangle from the Art and Crafts (ca1910) era! This striking bracelet is made of German silver and is particularly wide. Each side has a textured surface, with a raised, smooth silver pattern at its center. The fantastic and unusual design has a 3-dimensional look and the textured background has a wonderful natural patina on its surface. The bracelet opens at the side by unscrewing a pin clasp. The underside of the bracelet is marked "835MD". A wonderful handmade piece, this bangle could be worn alone or with other bracelets, and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The top surface of the bracelet measures about slightly more than 1" wide and has a depth of less than 1/8". When closed, the inside opening (where your wrist would fit) measures 2 3/8" wide and approximately 1 1/2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the silver and the pin and hinge are secure and in good working condition.
