Not many people are aware that Newark, New Jersey was a major hub for the manufacture of jewelry from the late 1800's until the 1950's. One of the leading companies, the Riker Brothers, has an early history that dates back to 1846. Their pieces are quite sought after and still remain highly collectible today!

This stunning and unusual bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau era (ca1900) is a wonderful example of the Riker Brothers' talent! The slip-on style bangle is crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold and features 11 sparkling diamonds set across the front. The old Mine Cut diamonds graduate slightly with the largest pair flanking a smaller stone at the center. Each diamond rests in a bezel setting and collectively the stones weigh approximately 1.50ctw, exhibiting H-I range color and VS-SI range clarity. The diamonds sparkle brilliantly in the light and pop against the lovely floral and scrolled etched design that carries along the entire outer surface. The interior is stamped with a slightly faded Riker Brothers maker's mark along with a "14K" gold purity mark. The bangle's design is very versatile, and would look wonderful worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets. A wonderful Art Nouveau piece by a legendary maker, it would compliment any collection!

Measurements: The inside opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 5/8" wide and slightly more than 2 1/8" tall and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface measures about 3/8" wide and is slightly less than 1/4" thick.

Condition:  The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent, there is no apparent damage the the gold etched design. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
