Victorian 14kt Diamond & Pearl Etruscan Teardrop Star Pendant
A lovely Etruscan pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unusual 14kt gold piece is comprised of a teardrop link that hangs from a delicate star surmount. Covering the surface of the teardrop is a very fine Etruscan wirework pattern, which provides lovely dimension and texture. A single mine cut diamond is set within the base of the teardrop, adding a lovely sparkling accent! The center of the star holds a natural pearl, which compliments the feminine design. On the back of the star is a small hidden bail, perfect for hanging from a fine chain. This beautiful charm would make a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 7/8" long, and measures 1/4" at the widest and thickest point (the base of the teardrop).
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, Etruscan wirework details, or to the pearl and diamond, both of which are intact and secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is normal and adds depth to the design.
