Victorian 14kt Mine Cut Diamond Crescent Moon Pendant 1.75ctw
A gorgeous crescent moon pendant from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Beautiful old Mine Cut diamonds line the surface of the crescent, which is crafted in 14kt gold. The graduated stones have a lively sparkle, catching the light perfectly! Collectively, they weigh approximately 1.75ctw and have estimated I-J range color and VS-SI range clarity. A shared prong design is visible from the side, suspending the diamonds in a typical Victorian fashion. Attached to the top of the crescent is a hidden hinged bail, allowing the pendant to hang from a favorite gold chain. This celestial piece is positively breathtaking in person, and would look wonderful worn day or night!
Measurements: The diamond crescent measures 1" tall, 7/8" wide, and 1/4" at the thickest point. When worn, it hangs 1 1/4" long, including the hinged bail at the top.
Condition: The pendant is in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The hinged bail is secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold setting, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
