A beautiful chain necklace from the Late Victorian (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 10kt yellow gold, sections of twisted rope chain are interspersed by eight golden spheres, each decorated by four turquoise cabochons. The turquoise cabochons display primarily robin's egg blue hues, and the spheres have wonderful, delicate engraving. A spring ring secures the necklace to its jump ring which is stamped with two indistinguishable hallmarks. The necklace, which is particularly long at 55", can be layered overhead up to three times and, using the spring ring, worn layered four times. A beautiful Victorian piece, this chain necklace would be a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain necklace measures approximately 55" in length. The chain measures approximately 3/32" thick, and the spheres measure slightly more than 9/32" in diameter. It weighs 27.0g.
Condition: The chain necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the turquoise cabochons are intact and securely set. The spring ring is in good working condition.
