Vintage 14kt Enameled Blackamoor Earrings
A lovely pair of Vintage blackamoor earrings from the 1960s era! These beautiful earrings are crafted in 14kt yellow gold and are adorned with rich black and cream colored enameling. Each earring depicts a blackamoor face wearing a decorative headpiece embellished with a red enameled disc at the center, providing a wonderful pop of color to the design. Delicate dotted enameled detail adds a lovely look to the headpieces, and exposed gold accents form the facial features. A polished gold plaque engraved with leaf motifs' rests at the bust, adding a lovely finishing touch. The earrings have a unique curved shape and clasp in the front with hinged European style wires, which are stamped with a "585" gold purity mark beside a maker's mark. Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 7/8" long, including the wires at the top, and measure a little more than 1/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to yellow gold setting and the enamel detail is free of chips or scratches. The earring wires clasp securely and are in good working condition.
