Vintage Native American Sterling + Turquoise Teardrop Earrings
A beautiful pair of Vintage Native American earrings from the 1970s era! These gorgeous earrings are crafted in sterling silver and display a stylish teardrop shape. Each dangling link frames a stunning bezel set turquoise stone at the center, exhibiting a rich, sky blue hue with light and dark brown veins of mineral webbing known as "matrix." Resting at the top is a delicate bead surmount attached to a simple wire, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement. Stamped on the back of each link is a "STERLING" silver purity mark beside a "E/PIASO" maker's mark. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully, and would make a lovely addition to any Native American jewelry collector!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, including the wires at the top. The teardrop link measures about 5/8" wide and is slightly less than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. Both turquoise stones are intact and securely set. The earrings tops and posts are secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic given the age of the piece.
