Edwardian 14kt Horse & Horseshoe Earrings
A wonderful pair of equestrian inspired earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of 14kt yellow gold, each earring is comprised of a hanging horseshoe with the image of a gold horse inside. The depiction of the horse is very realistic, including lifelike details such as a flowing tail, neatly trimmed mane, and a raised front leg as if in mid trot. The back of the horse and horseshoe are both stamped "14K" along with a small star hallmark. The earrings hang from a hollow gold ball surmount which is attached to a clasped earring wire. Very light weight and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings are perfect for the equestrian enthusiast and would be ideal for everyday wear!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 3/8" long, is 5/8" wide and 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the earring wires, which are secure and intact.
