SKU: 37847

$9,995

An exquisite moonstone earring and necklace set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous ensemble is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and has a very fine filigree wirework design. The necklace is comprised of 14 moonstone cabochon links, each attached by double strands of natural seed pearl chain. The moonstones themselves are smoothly polished and very clear, displaying a pearly pale blue color that flashes in the light. Surrounding each moonstone is an open back bezel setting and exceptional filigree border, complete with swirled detail, milgrain accents, and fine beadwork. The shimmery natural pearls compliment the moonstones perfectly, adding a soft, feminine touch! A push clasp hidden within one of the moonstone links fastens the necklace securely at the back. Stamped underneath the clasp is a "14K" hallmark.

The earrings have a matching moonstone design, also featuring an intricate filigree wirework border in gold. They hang from floral motif surmounts attached to simple earring wires. When worn together, the necklace drapes elegantly at the neckline, and the earrings have a long, dramatic appearance with lovely movement! A perfect pairing, this exceptional set would make a very special addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!

Measurements:  The necklace measures 16" long. Each filigree and moonstone link is approximately 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. The earrings hang 2 1/4" long from the top of the wire to the base. The natural seed pearls vary slightly in size and shape, measuring approximately 2-3mm each on average.

Condition:  The overall condition of the necklace and earring set is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or filigree wirework. All of the moonstones and seed pearls are intact, and the clasp and earring wires are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina present on the surface of the gold, which is normal for a Victorian era piece and adds depth to the design.
