Fabulous sodalite bug earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These stunning earrings, which are fairly large in size, are comprised of 3 sodalite links which connect to each other by 10kt yellow gold findings. The earrings begin with 2 matching sodalite beads which hang from 10kt gold earring wires. Dangling from the bottom is a rectangular shaped sodalite plaque which has a flat face and back and beveled edges. Attached to the front of the plaque is a lovely beetle made of a hand carved sodalite stone. The bug has 6 bent legs made of gold and a fine carved body and wings. The earrings have a wonderful 3-dimensional look with lovely detail throughout. These unusual earrings are simply lovely and they would make a perfect addition to any collection!

Measurement: The earrings hang approximately 2" long, are 1/2" at the widest point and have a depth of 3/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sodalite stones or to the gold findings.
