An exquisite diamond pin from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold and platinum, this substantial piece displays a gorgeous foliate and ribbon design accented by sparkling diamonds, lustrous pearls and soft enameling. Old Rose Cut diamonds gently glint within the pin's leaves and delicate blooms, lining the surface of the open wirework design, while old Mine Cut diamonds add additional sparkle, totaling approximately 1.35ctw, each bezel set and encircled by delicate milgraining. A lustrous pinkish-grey pearl adorns the center of the pin, while another grey pearl dangles freely below, topped with an additional diamond. The pin's central design is framed by a soft enameled border which displays a carved design that can be seen through the surface beneath the deep grey-blue tone enameling, adding further dimension to the piece. The pin is secured by a detachable 18kt yellow gold pin and c-clasp on the back. There are several French hallmarks stamped along the outer edge of the piece, including an eagle's head, "AUGER" indicating its craft in France by Maison Auger, a famed Parisian jeweler and the number "10248". This ornate piece is a beautiful work of art and would be a wonderful addition to any Edwardian collection!

Measurements: The pin measures 2 3/16" (including the hanging pearl), 2" wide, and 3/8" deep. If it interests the wearer, a pendant bail could be added to the pin so it may be worn as a pendant for an additional fee.

Condition: The pin is in overall very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and 18kt yellow gold settings. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The pearls are both in very good condition, with the central pearl displaying very minor signs of wear to its nacre. The pin, c-clasp, and the screw mechanism are all secure and in good working condition. There is a minor amount of damage to the enameled frame along the top, however, it is hardly noticeable when worn and does not detract from the overall beauty and integrity of the piece.
