Victorian 14kt Old Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Earrings
A beautiful pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold and dangles a lovely diamond cluster design. A circular link hangs at the base of a simple earring wire, encrusted with an array of old Rose Cut diamonds. The gorgeous stones surround a slightly larger diamond at the center, creating a beautiful cluster design. All of the diamonds are prong set, creating a fabulous scalloped wirework border that is visible from the sides and sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The earrings dangle with lovely movement, and frame the face beautifully. Perfect day or night, these Victorian earrings would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each diamond earring hangs approximately 3/4" long (including the wires at the top), and measures slightly less than 1/2" wide and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
