Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Diamond Filigree Earrings 0.70ctw
A gorgeous pair of diamond filigree earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! The stunning earrings are crafted in 14kt yellow gold and topped in platinum, creating a lovely two-tone appeal. Each ornate piece features a diamond topper, below which dangles an elongated surmount, and a filigree link at the base. Set throughout the design are a combination of sparkling old Mine and Rose Cut diamonds, which decorate the filigree wirework and surmount at the top. A swirled design at the base includes delicate lacy cutouts, and a single, bezel-set diamond that appears to "float" at the center. Collectively, the diamond carat weight between both earrings is approximately 0.70ctw, catching the light beautifully with every turn! Fine milgrain detail and linear cutouts along the edge of each earring are the perfect finishing touches. When worn, the earrings hang from clasped lever-back wires at the top, framing the face beautifully. They have a timeless and classic appearance that would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 3/4" long, and measures 3/8" wide and 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and yellow gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasped earring wires are secure and in good working order.
