Art Deco German Sterling Carnelian + Marcasite Link Bracelet
A wonderful German-made bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this beautiful bracelet features a row of vibrant carnelian and marcasite links. Each rectangular shaped carnelian stone has a convex face, and the open-back setting allows the light to pass through, showcasing its earthy rich, burnt sienna hues. Delicate marcasite stones and lovely milgrain details frame each carnelian link, creating a wonderful sparkling effect! The hinged links create a straight but flexible design, allowing the bracelet to wrap comfortably around the wrist when worn. It fastens with a push clasp seamlessly hidden within the last link, and stamped on the tongue is a "STERLING" silver purity mark and "GERMANY," now partially faded due to age. A beautiful example of Art Deco era jewelry, this lovely bracelet would look wonderful worn day or night!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7" long, and would fit nicely on a medium to average-sized wrist. It measures slightly less than 1/2" wide and is slightly less than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. All of the carnelian and marcasite stones are intact. The push clasp is secure and in good working order. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of antique and vintage jewelry.
