Late Art Deco Long Faceted Amber Bead Necklace 34"
A wonderful strand of faceted amber beads from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This stylish necklace is comprised of large, graduated amber beads which form a long and eye-catching necklace. The multi-faceted beads catch the light beautifully when worn, exhibiting a translucent quality with wonderful golden burnt sienna hues. All of the beads are hand strung on heavy ivory colored thread, and fastens in the back with a gold spring ring clasp, however thanks to the length, it can easily slip on and off overhead. Whether worn long or layered, the necklace makes a fabulous statement piece when worn. It merges seamlessly into modern day fashion, and would be a fantastic everyday accessory!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 34" long. The largest bead, which is in the center of the strand, measures approximately 1" wide and thick and 3/4" tall, and the smallest measures approximately 1/2" wide and 3/8" tall and thick. The amber beaded necklace has a weight of 47.2 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the amber beads, and the stringing is secure and in good condition. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working order. There are natural inclusions throughout the amber beads, which is a natural characteristic for amber.
