Vintage Russian 14kt Persian Turquoise Drop Earrings
A beautiful pair of Vintage Persian turquoise earrings from the mid-1990s! These lovely earrings are crafted in 14kt rose gold, and have a simple yet elegant Victorian-inspired design. Each earring holds a stunning Persian turquoise cabochon that is prong set within a feminine buttercup-like setting. The stones exhibit a gorgeous sky blue hue that pairs perfectly against the rose gold background. The cabochon rests at the base of a fixed link that attaches at the top to a leverback earring wire, allowing them to swing beautifully with movement. Stamped on the back of the wire is a Russian hallmark of a hammer and sickle within the Soviet Star, and a Russian letter indicating it was assayed in the Nizhniy Novgorod region in 1994, along with a "583" gold purity mark. A simply stunning pair of earrings, they would look beautiful worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1/2" long, and measures approximately 1/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The turquoise stones are securely set, and free of chips or scratches.
