An exceptional pair of cufflinks from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each of these beautiful cufflinks depicts a single 3-dimensional tiger head detailed with colorful enameling and sparkling diamonds. The tigers have a fierce, snarling look, with full faces and raised ears and hand-painted and enameled accents cover the surface, creating an exceptionally detailed appearance. Rich black painted stripes and whiskers give the illusion of depth, and iridescent orange and gold enameling cover the entire surface of each. The nostrils and mouth adorn fiery red enameling and clenched within the tiger's open mouth is a sparkling 0.04ct old Mine Cut diamond, which is prong set between pointed fangs. Two additional Mine Cut diamonds represent each of the tiger's twinkling eyes, completing the ferocious facial features beautifully. A curved bar and puffed oval link rest on the back, completing the design and each bar is stamped "14 A" within a trefoil-shaped stamp. These outstanding cufflinks are simply a work of art and would make very unique and impressive addition to any cufflink collection.

Measurements: Each tiger head measures 1/2" wide, 5/8" tall and 1/4" thick. The curved gold bars measure approximately 1/2" long and the gold oval backs measure approximately 1/2" wide and 1/4" tall.

Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and only very minimal surface wear to the enameled design. All six diamonds are intact.
