A stunning moonstone necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! This gorgeous piece is comprised of a multitude of moonstone links, which hang in a festoon style from a 14kt gold chain. Included in the design are a combination of round and oval shaped cabochons that graduate slightly in size. Each stone is set in an open backed bezel, allowing the light to beautifully pass through. The alluring moonstones are very clear and emit iridescent flashes of pale blue. A secure spring catch clasp fastens the gold chain in the back and when worn, the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline, resting along the collarbone. Both elegant and stylish, it would look perfect worn on special occasions!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16" in total length. The moonstone links along the collar range in size, the largest measuring approximately 6mm in diameter and the smallest measuring 4.5mm. The strands of festoon links range in length, hanging approximately 5/8" to 1 1/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the moonstones are intact. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
