Victorian 14kt 'Token of Love' Mine Cut Diamond Ring 0.40ctw
A special 'Token of Love' diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This romantic single stone piece features a lovely design crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold and features a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond resting at the center. The stone is held within a wide, square frame and weighs approximately 0.40ct with G color and SI1 clarity. It sparkles beautifully within the open-backed square centerpiece which rests in the middle of a solid graduating gold band. Each shoulder has an open channel and ridged design and a special inscription carries within the interior of the band. Engraved along the inside is the sentimental French message that reads: "Gage d' Amour" which translates to "Token of Love." A beautiful and romantic antique ring, it would make a unique alternative engagement ring or a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75, but could easily be resized if desired. The square diamond centerpiece (including the gold frame) measures approximately 3/8" wide and slightly less than 3/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold ring and the diamond is intact. The interior inscription is legible and clear, with only minimal wear.
