Art Deco 14kt Large Citrine Drop Enameled Chain Necklace

SKU: ST1001

$5,895
A fantastic and very unusual citrine necklace from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of a single large sized teardrop citrine that hangs from a 14kt yellow gold chain. The citrine teardrop has a faceted surface and lovely coloring and attaches to an ornate gold bail, which displays a feminine floral motif. The citrine stone hangs from a chain that is detailed with 6 graduating, faceted citrine beads which alternate with gold enameled bar links. The enameled links are detailed with black green and burnt orange stripes. These colors look wonderful next to the gold links! The necklace has two clasps: one at the back, and one connecting the citrine stone, which makes it possible to use the chain with another pendant. One of the clasps is marked "14K". It's a fabulous piece and would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The chain of the necklace measures 22.25" long. The large carved citrine pendant is approximately 2 1/4" long, slightly more than 1 1/4" at the widest point and has a depth of slightly more than 3/4". The largest faceted citrine bead has an approximate diameter of 3/8”, while the smallest has a diameter of 1/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace and pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold, enamel, or to any of the citrine stones. Both clasps are secure and in good working condition.
