Victorian 14kt Moss Agate Lavalier Pendant
A beautiful and unusual moss agate lavalier pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely piece is set in 14kt rosy yellow gold and has a simple, yet elegant design. The pendant begins with a 3-dimensional pyramid shaped link made of hand carved moss agate, which is held within a gold bezel. Dangling freely below the pyramid are three elongated teardrops carved from moss agate, which are smoothly polished and held within gold caps at the top. The longest teardrop shape hangs from the center, while the two smaller shapes frame it on either side. Each moss agate stone is translucent and clear, with natural moss-like inclusions floating inside. The pendant hangs from a simple yellow gold bail at the top, making it easy to hang and wear from a simple chain. A lovely and feminine piece, this gorgeous natural pendant would make a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2 1/2" long, is approximately 7/8" at its widest point and 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the moss agate stones, all of which are intact. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
