Victorian Sterling/18kt Ruby Diamond Trefoil Pendant 2.50ctw
A beautiful and delicate ruby trefoil pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This exquisite piece features three luscious natural ruby cabochons that form the "leaves" of a trefoil-shaped cluster, which is set in a sterling-topped 18kt gold setting. A beautiful 0.15ct mine cut diamond rests at the trefoil's center, and seven accent diamonds line the leaf-like topper and bail. The rich pink color of the rubies paired with the sparkling diamond accents is simply breathtaking. Gold prongs grasp each of the ruby stones, which weigh approximately 2.50ctw combined, and the diamonds are both bead and bezel set in silver. A very sweet and feminine design, this gorgeous Victorian pendant would look stunning on a gold or silver chain, and could be worn day or night!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1" long from the top of the diamond bail to the base of the trefoil cluster. The trefoil itself is just over 1/2" wide and nearly 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling-topped gold setting, or to the ruby and diamond stones, all of which are intact and securely set. The diamond bail is secure and in good condition.
