Art Deco 18kt Swirled Floral Motif Diamond Pin/Pendant 2.45ctw
A beautiful diamond encrusted pin/pendant from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This stunning piece is crafted in rhodium plated 18kt gold and forms the unique shape of a swirled floral motif decorated with sparkling diamonds. Seven beautiful old European Cut diamonds surround a similarly slightly larger diamond at the center, each one held in a multi-prong setting. A border of seven delicately sized diamonds surround the center stone, and each swirled "petal" adorns additional sparkling accent diamonds. Together all of the diamonds weigh approximately 2.45ctw combined, each one reflecting the light brilliantly with every turn. The accent diamonds that line the swirled petals each rest in a milgrained micro prong setting, adding a lovely textural appeal to the design. The back reveals a swinging bail at the top (that can be folded down and out of sight) above a long bar pin and secure clasp stamped with an "18K" gold purity mark. Whether worn on a favorite chain or attached to the perfect garment, this lovely pin/pendant would make a stunning statement piece when worn!
Measurements: The pin/pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long when worn as a pendant, measures about 1" wide, and is about 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rhodium plated gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. Both the swinging bail and pin clasp are secure and in good working condition.
