Gorgeous lavalier pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This lovely piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a beautiful design. The pendant hangs from a thin gold chain which is threaded through a gold bail. At the centerpiece of the pendant is a large bezel set tourmaline stone, which has a faceted front and a beautiful vibrant pink color. Below the center stone is an ornate leaf-like gold base with green enameled detail and white enamel dots. Bezel set atop the base are 6 old Rose Cut diamonds which give a lovely accent to the pink color of the tourmaline. Dangling at the bottom of the pendant is an marquise shaped pink tourmaline stone, which is connected to a prong set, pear shaped pink tourmaline stone. At either side of the center stone is an additional pear shaped pink tourmaline stone hanging from a gold chain, which is accented with a small seed pearl. The gorgeous colors and delicate details in this piece combine to create a beautiful pendant which would look marvelous worn on a simple gold chain. It's a lovely piece and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 2 3/8" in long. It measures 7/8" at its widest point, and is slightly less than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the tourmaline stones, diamonds, and pearls are intact. There is some wear to the enameling however this does not take away from the beauty of the piece.
