Victorian 14kt Natural Coral Cabochon Earrings
A beautiful pair of natural coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring displays a rich coral cabochon that hangs below a 14kt yellow gold wire. The cabochons are round in shape and smoothly polished, displaying a wonderful deep reddish orange color with subtle milky marbling throughout. When worn, the design hangs nicely just below the ear, making them perfect for everyday wear. The coral attaches at a gold cup on the back which is secured to the hinged earring wires. A beautiful and colorful accessory, they merge effortlessly into modern fashion and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs a little less than 5/8" long. The coral cabochons measure 3/8" in diameter, and are about 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no other apparent damage to the coral cabochons or to the gold hinged wires, which are securely attached. The coral displays some natural inclusions and color variations, which is normal for genuine coral, and adds to its unique beauty.
