A beautiful and unique carnelian bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920s) period! This wonderful bangle is crafted in sterling silver and features a row of square carnelian stones that line the entire surface. The richly colored carnelian is offset by a raised buckle motif, each part which is lined with sparkling marcasite stones. The 3-dimensional design includes the buckle, loop and strap of a belt, each part curved around and secured on either side of the bracelet. The hinged bangle has a feminine engraved design on either side and an open wirework pattern can be found along the interior. The bracelet is hinged and clasps at the side and there is a clasped safety chain for added security. The interior is marked "STERLING." It makes a beautiful vintage accessory and is perfect for everyday wear!
Measurement: The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures 3/8" wide and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the carnelian or marcasite stones, which are intact and free of chips or scratches.
