LARTER & SONS Edwardian Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 0.75ct
This stunning engagement ring from the Edwardian era (ca1910) is a signed piece by Larter & Sons! Crafted in platinum, this lovely ring holds a gorgeous old European Cut diamond at the center of a beautiful star motif mounting. The sparkling prong-set stone, which weighs approximately 0.75ct with G color and VS2 clarity, is held within a unique 8-point star setting, that is framed by a circular border. The fantastic centerpiece rests in a raised manner, merging seamlessly into gorgeous, swirling wirework and lacy cutouts which form the shoulders of the band. Ornate wirework and fine milgraining can be seen throughout the mounting, adding to the ring's beauty from every angle! The back of the tapered band is left smooth, and the shank is stamped with Larter & Son's signature hallmark. A beautiful and unique Edwardian era design, it would make a perfect engagement ring or special addition to any ring collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.25, but could be easily re-sized if desired. The circular star centerpiece measures 3/8" in diameter and rests a little less than 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, wirework details, or diamond, which is secure and intact.
