The acorn is a traditional good luck emblem that has long been considered a symbol of strength, prosperity, patience, renewal, and growth. These attributes are partially inspired by nature itself; a mighty oak tree grows from a tiny acorn, giving significance not only to the tree, but to the seed itself.  Acorns became a popular jewelry motif dating back to the early Victorian era, and are often depicted in a wonderful range of materials and styles. Their beautiful renderings and sentimental symbolism are still valued in the modern day, making antique acorn jewelry very special!

A gorgeous Czech glass necklace from the Retro (ca1940) era! This beautiful piece features a 3-dimensional acorn pendant, which hangs from a simple gold-plated sterling chain. The top of the acorn is multi-faceted and catches the light beautifully with every turn. The translucent amber color exhibits wonderful golden orange hues. A decorative gold fluted bail is riveted into the top of the acorn, allowing it to hang from a modern chain that fastens at the back with a spring ring clasp stamped "925." A stylish piece that blends seamlessly into modern day fashion, it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures 18" long. The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/2" long (including the bail at the top) and measures about 5/8" wide and thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. There is a minor chip at the base of the acorn, which is not noticeable when worn. The bail is securely attached, and the chain and clasp are secure and in good working condition.
