A very charming gold dog pin from the Retro (ca1940) era! This lovely piece depicts a small dog, which resembles a poodle or other similar breed. The dogs body is detailed with a textured surface to create the look of real fur and wrapped around the dogs neck is a gold collar with a large bow. A fine gold chain hangs from the top of the collar and fastens between the dogs front legs, representing its leash and in its mouth is a gold baton with a seed pearl attached to one end. The dog has a wonderful and friendly look, with its ears and tail raised, its front paw lifted as if in mid-step and black enameled eyes and nose. The reverse side of the piece reveals several markings: "750","A5C" and "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA." A gold bar pin is attached diagonally across the back of the piece, with a hinged locking feature to keep it securely in place. This lovely pin has a wonderful look and would be perfect for any dog lover!
Measurements: The pin measures 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or enameling and the seed pearl is intact. The bar pin is secure and in good working condition.
