Retro Platinum Asymmetrical Diamond Encrusted Ring 1.83ctw
A fantastic diamond ring from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in platinum, this unique piece has a stunning and unusual layered design that features a surface encrusted in sparkling diamonds. At the center of the ring are three bezel set old Mine Cut diamonds which rest diagonally atop a bed of diamonds. Set slightly lower than the three center stones are two triangular sections, each holding 12 bead set old European Cut diamonds. Framing the centerpiece are four Baguette Cut stones and two additional old European Cut diamonds adorn each shoulder. Collectively, the overall diamond weight of the ring is 1.83ctw with color in the H-I range and clarity in the VS-SI range. The attractive design is very modern and unusual and the ring looks striking on. The piece was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Gemologist in December 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $5,000.00. Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.25. The diamond centerpiece of the ring measures approximately 1/2" wide and a little less than 1/2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamond stones, all of which are intact.
