Retro Platinum Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 1.61ct
A breathtaking diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in platinum, this stunning piece holds an old Cushion Cut diamond at its center which has a total weight of 1.61ct with M color and SI2 clarity. Six dazzling Single Cut diamonds line each shoulder, perfectly complimenting to the prismatic prong-set central stone and finishing the piece is a polished knife-edge band. The shank is stamped "10% IRID PLAT" along with an endearing engraving, "F.C.S. to C.L.H. 1-1-40," likely referring to a couple who wed on that date. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in August 2018, and has a stated retail replacement value of $9,500.00. When worn, the ring is positively radiant, delivering a spectacular sparkle and would make a stunning vintage engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5, but could be resized as desired. When worn, the center of the ring rests approximately 1/4" above the finger. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds are secure and intact.
