Art Deco 10kt Carved Carnelian Ring

SKU: 39022

$795
A lovely and artistic ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The ring is made crafted in 10kt gold and features a carved carnelian plaque at the center. The carnelian has a beautiful natural color, which is lightly translucent and displays a rich shade of burnt orange. The hand-carved details represent a beautiful floral motif, adding a soft and feminine touch. Holding the carnelian stone in place is a secure 8-prong design, suspending the plaque above a decorative filigree undercarriage. A tapered gold band with pillar-style shoulders completes the design. Stamped inside the shank is "10K." A wonderful Art Deco era piece, it would make a unique addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a scant 6.5, but it could be easily resized if desired. The carnelian centerpiece measures 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and 3/8" high. The tapered gold band measures 4mm wide at the shoulders and 1.5mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or carved carnelian plaque, which is securely set and free of chips or scratches.
