Late Art Deco 10kt Green Glass Cabochon Ring
A striking green glass ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 10kt yellow gold and features a large synthetic green stone prong set in its center. The oval shaped cabochon has a smoothly polished surface and wonderful, rich translucent green color, beautifully mimicking the appearance of an emerald or tourmaline. The stone has scalloped sides which allows it to fit perfectly within the open, crescent-shaped shoulders, just like a puzzle piece. Delicate airline cutouts can be found along the sides of the mounting and the inside of the shank is stamped "EKL" and "10K." This fabulous ring would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The green stone measures approximately 1/2" tall and a little more than 3/8" at the widest point. The ring has a finger size of 6.25, but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting or to the synthetic green stone.
