Late Art Deco 18kt Sapphire + Diamond Cluster Ring 1.19ct center
A gorgeous sapphire and diamond cluster ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this beautiful piece features a 1.19ct sapphire framed at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The faceted stone is prong set and displays a stunning cornflower blue hue, that comes alive as it catches the light beautifully with every turn. A sparkling border of Full Cut diamonds encircles the center stone, collectively weighing 0.50ctw, and displaying G-H range color and VS range clarity. The stones rest in a shared-prong setting that creates a lovely wirework design that is visible from the sides. The centerpiece sits on a smoothly polished band that graduates slightly towards the back and stamped inside of the shank is "18K" and "T&H." A magnificent piece, it is perfect to mark a special occasion, or it would make a stunning gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of scant 5.5, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures a little less than 1/2" in diameter and rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The sapphire and diamonds are intact and securely set.
