The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.

A fantastic snake ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this bold piece portrays a single slithering snake, whose body wraps multiple times around the finger to form a wide stacked band. Its head and tail overlap at the center, resting above the coiled surface, and two sparkling Single Cut accent diamonds represent each eye, catching the light beautifully with every turn. Gorgeous swirled etching lightly embellishes the head, trailing subtly onto the neck and body, adding a lovely textured detail. A wonderful piece for any snake lover, it would make an wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7, but could be resized slightly. The width of the band at the front measures about 1/2" wide, and rests a little less than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band at the back measures 14mm wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is great. There is some visible surface wear to the sterling ring, however, nothing that is unusual for a silver piece from this era. Besides this wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling silver setting and the diamonds are both intact and securely set.
