Victorian Rhodium-Plated 14kt Diamond Cluster Stud Earrings 0.90ctw
A gorgeous pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These beautiful studs feature a cluster of sparkling diamonds held within a 14kt yellow gold setting which has been recently rhodium plated. A raised old Mine Cut diamond rests at the center, surrounded by a border of delicate similarly cut diamonds. Together the stones weigh approximately 0.90ctw between both earrings, and exhibit I-J range color and SI1-2 range clarity, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The stones are held in a shared prong setting, creating a lovely scalloped edge and intricate design visible from the sides. Resting at the back is a simple post and earring back (stamped with a "585" gold purity mark). The delicate and beautiful design of these studs is very versatile, making them suitable for everyday wear or special occasions!
Measurements: Each diamond cluster measures a little more than 1/4" in diameter, and is about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the rhodium topped gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The post and earring back are secure and in good working condition.
