Art Deco Chinese Silver & Floral Carved Coral Filigree Ring

SKU: 39708

$695
A beautiful natural coral ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely piece has an artistic design that reflects its Chinese origin. At the center is an un-dyed coral plaque, which is intricately hand-carved with a cheerful flower motif. Delicate cutouts form the shapes of individual flower petals. The spun silver mounting displays an intricate filigree pattern, complete with lacy swirls and spirals. Stamped inside the setting are 3 small hallmarks, which include "CHINA," "SILVER," and the symbol of a crawling bug. A fabulous statement piece, this stylish ring rests high above the finger and is perfect for any coral lover!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.25, but could be resized if needed. The oval-shaped coral plaque measures 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide. The elevated centerpiece rests approximately 1/2" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 3mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the spun silver setting or to the natural carved coral plaque. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of antique and vintage jewelry.
