Victorian 15kt Onyx & Enameled Dangling Earrings
Fantastic gold and onyx earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 15kt rosy yellow gold, each earring is particularly long in length and beautifully decorated with 3 dangling onyx stones. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional design, hang from an onyx bead topper which is attached to the earring wires. A horizontal bar-shaped pyramid is set below the onyx bead and attaches to an enameled gold handle link. Hanging from this bar are 3 graduating teardrop onyx stones with the longest drop at the center. Each teardrop has a gold cap which has a black enameled surface, completing the striking design beautifully. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings look stunning on. They would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long, is 5/8" at the widest point and 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or to the onyx and only minimal surface wear to the enameling.
