The locket has a large raised rosebud on top, and is hand carved with great detail and depth. The rosebud slides open to reveal the base of the locket which is also ornately carved with small flowers and leaves. There is a small frame inside to hold a photo or possibly a small trinket. The threaded barrel clasp is original.
