Victorian 14kt Gold Locket with Engraved Initials

SKU: 40309

$595

An absolutely beautiful gold locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful piece is crafted in 14kt gold and round in shape. The face of the locket adorns a set of ornately engraved initials which cover the entire area while the reverse side displays a smoothly polished surface. With a blooming yellow gold finish, the engraved initials have a soft, rose gold color, giving a wonderful mixed metals look to the piece. The locket opens to reveal two spaces for a favorite photograph and an original black and white picture of a young boy still remains. Both interior sides are also stamped with the number "9". The locket hangs from a simple gold bail, perfect for hanging from a complimentary chain. It's a lovely piece that would make a wonderful keepsake addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The locket hangs 1 5/8" long, measures 1 1/4" in diameter and is 1/4" thick at its thickest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the locket is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and the locket opens easily and closes securely. The photo frames are also secure and in good working condition. There is a small ding on the smooth back of the piece, however, this can not be seen when worn; additionally, there is a small dent on the front side, however, this is hidden within the ornate design of the letters and hardly noticeable.
