Late Victorian 14kt Yellow Gold Wishbone Locket
A beautiful gold locket from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! This locket, which is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold, has a highly attractive and unusual design. The locket is oval in shape and features a raised wishbone along the upper and outer rim of the locket, which acts as a fantastic border. The top of the wishbone is attached to a gold loop and a bail, allowing it to hang easily from a gold chain. The locket opens to reveal a space on each side for two special photographs along with "14K" and a maker's mark. Known to be good luck, this exceptional wishbone locket is a beautiful piece and would be wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs slightly more than 2" long, is approximately 1 1/8" wide and has a depth of 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold locket or bail and the locket opens and closes securely.
